The Scott Township Authority was incorporated in 1967 under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Act of 1945. The Authority was formed to plan, finance, and construct sanitary sewers in Scott Township. The Sewer Authority has administered expansion of the original sewer system by land developers and has also constructed Authority sewer projects.
The sewer system provides for collection and transmission of sewage, with treatment at the Bloomsburg Waste Treatment Plant.

An Overdue Sewer Penalty is Now 15%
Residential Rates per 1000 Gallons
0-5,000 = $41.00 flat
6,000 and above = $8.20 per 1000
Industrial Rates per 1000 Gallons
0-175,000 = $8.20 per 1000
176,000-300,000 = $7.10 per 1000
301,000 and above = $6.00 per 1000
